Altenburger Ziegenkäse is a type of goat cheese originating from the Altenburger Land region of eastern Germany. It is made with goat's milk and is characterized by its mild and slightly spicy flavor. The cheese is made with raw milk, and is matured for at least 3 weeks.

It is normally eaten as an appetizer or as part of a meal, either alone or with bread, fruit, or a salad. It is a fresh cheese, with a soft texture, with a nutty flavor and a slight acid touch.

Altenburger Ziegenkäse is a difficult cheese to find outside of the Saxony and Thuringia area.
